Hamilton Island Take 2 (I swear I was swimming straight)

There were 5 buoys, one of which I used as an anchor, and did loops around the other four.

Swimming with hotels in the background

This is me claiming the acute accuracy of my swimming lines. My Dad is on the kayak, if anyone was wondering.

I know I shouldn't feed the Cockatoos, but they're too cute!

This bat fish was munched down to juvenile size by the fish below....

Or it could have been the bastard shark that was taking all our fish on the way up? It's too close to call either way.

And finally, the best part of the island!

Now it's back to reality, and 5am starts :(

Choice ride today with good company. I publicly welcome old friend Sam Trevor (far left) back to circumventing South-East Queensland roads with me on his aluminum steed. Sam's a new daddy, which could explain his return to road cycling after a half a decade of absence. I would imagine he's going to have to limit his jetski, downhill MTB and 4WD habits in light of new family commitments.

And for those that didn't know, 16 dry needles in your calves will severely reduce your chances of any sort of mobility at all. You may way to organise some alterate door to door transfers if you're intending this kinfd of treatement for yourself anytime soon. I also threw some cortisone into the achilles today for good measure.

The half-full glass is looking a little more palatable. It still might have some poison left in it though...

time will tell!!!!

Willenskraft

I've been having a little trouble running again. To quote fellow decrepit 'biathlete' Dan WIlson, "If the glass is half full, it's half full of poison". Hopefully this stuff is going to make that (to borrow from Dan once more) "Challice of optimism touch my lips" again.

Unimportant

Native boy with billum

stumbles across native girl in bikini.

Native boy courts native girl

and seals the deal.

(Yes that is a levitating tree stump from the powerful floods). Unfortunately for native girl and native boy, that is the end of this wonderful pictorial narrative.

In other news, I'm back running, feeling fit, and am hoping to be on the startline for Mooloolaba World Cup!

Now back to training....

A Very Important Disclosure...

This is a small back-catalogue of shoes that I have sitting in my room. There's 10.5 pairs of shoes here, don't ask me where the other .5 got too.  I was looking at all my shoes, and I had this groundbreaking thought. I wondered just how many pairs of these shoes could fit into my new Rocket Science Sports bag, and I'm pleased to say that I had a small victory today when I easily fit all 10.5 pairs of shoes in the bag.

So if you ever have 10.5 pairs of shoes around, this is a timely reminder that you can fit all 10.5 pairs of shoes into a Rocket Science Sports bag. Oh yeah, it will also fit all of your triathlon related things in it too! The best thing is this is only their entry level bag. I can't wait to get this yummy one!

It is with this note that I announce an exciting new partnership with Rocket Science Sports, under official distribution in Australia by Xosize.

These guys have some great stuff, and I will be racing in the Rocket Racer trisuit and Rocket Carbon wetsuit exclusively this year. Check them out!
